Glowy New Year's Skin

So as you all know it's New Year's Eve tonight and I'm super excited and I had to post about this AMAZING facial i just created and gave myself that left my skin GLOWING!

It's actually very simple, Here's what you do:

1. take and instant oatmeal packet (follow the instructions on packet or just estimate a good amount of water and leave in microwave for 1 minute)- oh and it's okay if the oatmeal is flavored

2. add about a spoonful of honey

3. add a spoonful of olive oil (I added a drop more after the spoonful because everyone's skin is really dried out now)

4. (wet and dry face with warm water) then make sure the facial has cooled down and spread evenly all over face

5. leave on for 15 minutes (read a magazine to pass the time- no shortcuts!)

6. then wash off with cold water and see the fabulous results for yourself!

Teen Vogue Favorites

Okay so i really wanted to do a post but i couldn't really think of anything to post about so I finally decided to put my 5 favorite teen vogue covers and issues so here it goes...(in order of date)

1. This was my first teen vogue issue so obviously it's special- oh and i love leighton meester

2. This was my birthday issue so i have to love it and how lucky am i that my most favorite celebrity ever was on the cover? Selena Gomez is beautiful, funny, and has great style

3. The clothes in Emma Watson's teen vogue photo shoot (full skirts, ribbons, glamorous shirts) is my all time favorite, i mean those clothes are, in my opinion, TO DIE FOR

4. Chanel and Jourdan are fabulous with their perfect smile and long legs and Chanel Iman is just one of these people i can never stop looking at because of how beautiful and energizing she is.

5. And last but not least, in the most recent issue, Dakota Fanning looks super pretty and those clothes are right next to, or possibly even before, Emma Watson's- those skirts and dresses and shoes are so,so,so cute and look amazing on Dakota

So as I was browsing through Spring 2010 fashion shows, I couldn't help but love Chanel's spring collection. While some of the collections were crazy and hard to look at Chanel's was classic yet stylish, using simple colors, interesting textures and lace.

Who says they don't like the winter?

NOT ME! Winter is full of yummy hot chocolate, joyful holidays, and of course, an excuse to buy adorable new clothes! This winter, the winter of 2009/2010, my goal is to LAYER, LAYER, LAYER: ruffled sweaters, girly buttoned coats, cozy scarves, funky belts, you name it! And obviously I can’t forget my winter craving for BOLD PRINTS and a magnificent pop of COLOR. I would like to, as ironic as it sounds, fill my winter with SUNSHINE.

So i made this collage of winter 09/10 inspirations- at first i was horrified by the idea of semi- dissecting my magazines but it was really fun-sorry the quality isn't so great: it wouldn't fit in the scanner so i had to take a picture of it and upload it

Bad Romance...Amazing Clothes

So when i first heard this song i wasn't so sure about it but knowing it was Lady Gaga i absolutely had to see the music video. I mean look at those shoes! and her nails! The outfits are stunning! i can't stop watching!

dig ding. Glee.

Okay so i know this doesn't exactly fit the "fashion and beauty" category but I'm absolutely in love with this show and I can't get these songs out of my head!! I'm dying of Glee overdose!

Keep it Clean

During the Winter especially your skin gets dried out so follow these simple steps every night for a moisturized, clean, fresh face.

1. Rinse face with warm water (to open pores)

use face cleanser (based on skin type)

Wash with cold water (to close pores) & dry

2. apply oil-free moisturizer all over face and neck

3. rub vaseline/aquaphor on lips (to moisturize over night)
